Darren Sammy and men arrive in Bangladesh – Cricket News Update
Less than a month after having clinched their first World champ title in more than three decades, the Darren Sammy led Caribbean contingent is back in the sub-continent, this time to play a full fledged series against Bangladesh.
The West Indies cricket team arrived in Dhaka on Monday to play two Tests, five One Day Internationals and a one-off T20 International against the Bengali Tigers.
The Windies will kick start their month long tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Imtiaz-Sheikh-c64290 Abu Naser Stadium of Khulna, 180 km southwest of Dhaka, between November 21 and 25.
The same Khulna venue will host the first two One Day Internationals, on November 30 and December 2. The two sides will return to Shere Bangla to play the remaining three ODIs of the five-match series on December 5, 7 and 8 respectively.
The only T20 International between the Caribbean side and the Bengali Tigers will also be staged at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, on December 10.
The men from Caribbean, who last month clinched the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 by 36 runs in the final, are also scheduled to play a three-day tour game against the Bangladesh Cricket Board XI ahead of the Dhaka Test.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Cricket Board has also announced its squad for the tour game. Regular skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mushfiqur-Rahim-c2045 will lead the BCB XI squad in the warm-up match.
This is http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760’ third bilateral tour of Bangladesh. They had earlier toured the South Asian nation in 2002 and 2011, returning victorious at both the occasions.
