Darren Sammy backs West Indies to do well in the World T20 – Cricket News Update

The 28-year-old right-hander, who was appointed as West Indies skipper in October 2010, also thanked the Caribbean fans for their support and vowed to go all the way and win them their first ever T20 World Cup. He also urged the fans
to continue showing faith in the team.
The latest edition of the World T20 Championship gets underway in Hambantota, Sri Lanka on September 18, and will run till October 7. Twelve teams – including two qualifiers, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ireland-c751 and Afghanistan – will compete for the title, currently

West Indies have been drafted in Group B, alongside http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 and Ireland, and will kick start their cup campaign against the mighty Aussies at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, on September 22, before playing semi-professional Ireland
in their second and last group game on September 24, at the same Colombo venue.
Sammy and men had a nine-day pre-tournament training camp at the High Performance Centre in Barbados, and the skipper hoped the camp will pay dividends come their first World Cup encounter against Australia, on September 22.
"The camp went very well and we are all in the right frame of mind," Sammy said. "We will head off to Sri Lanka believing in ourselves and believing in each other.”
