West Indies, a reckoning cricketing force of 1970s and 80s, have not won a global tournament in the last decade. But skipper Darren Sammy said that the environment in the dressing room is very good and the current Caribbean contingent is capable of ending
the title drought.
"When we left the Caribbean that was the most important thing in our minds, winning this tournament for our fans," said Sammy while speaking to media reporters after winning the World T20 Super Eight fixture against defending champions http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 by 15 runs.
"The last decade has been tough for us. We last won a silverware in 2004. It is a good opportunity for us to do that here,” the St Lucia all-rounder added further.

Ireland was abandoned after the Irish innings, but the Caribbean side qualified for the Super Eight stage based on their superior net run rate.

"I just keep everybody cool. We have a lot of cool guys so when you're out there, you need to have someone in charge,” added Sammy when asked about West Indies’ mantra of success of late.
Replying to a query regarding their Saturday’s match against Sri Lanka, Sammy said that the Islanders have always been a tough opposition at home and his side will not take them lightly.
