Darren Sammy hints at handing Sunil Narine Test cap – Cricket News Update

Narine has represented West Indies in eight One-Day Internationals; however, the 24-year-old off-spinner from Trinidad is yet to don the Test cap.

Sammy, speaking to reporters at the Edgbaston cricket stadium on Wednesday, said, “Everyone is calling him( Narine) the mystery spinner and he could come in and make an impact for us. It's a difficult place for spinners to make
their debut but he has a lot up his sleeve and we're backing him to make an impact. Hopefully, this is the start of something that could be a great Test career.”
Remembering his first encounter against Narine, Sammy said, “He opened the bowling, I think it was against the Windward Islands and he got 10 wickets in the match. He's very exciting and all of the Caribbean are very excited about
having him in international cricket. We're very happy to have him here.”
