Darts players lighten up event at Ipswich
Darts player are enjoying a ballet these days. Some days earlier, the elite of darts visited Carrington to witness the training session of Manchester United, meeting stars like Wayne Rooney and team manager Alex Ferguson.
Keeping the tradition of enjoyment kindling, prominent players such as Kevin Painter and James Richardson recently paid a visit to Ipswich Town FC. Both players were invited as guests to the place last weekend.
The players’ presence at the town was primarily to view the match between Portman Road against Cardiff City. The game ended in favour of Portman with a 3-0 score line.
Also, it is important to mention here that both players were, rather surprisingly for many, quite known among people.
Painter was greeted rapturously by the crowd as people knew him after he was able to secure victory at the Cash Converters Championship.
Likewise, Richardson became renowned after his famous encounter, in which he was able to knock out the Dutch darts star Raymond van Barneveld.
Moreover, it was Richardson’s debut at Ladbrokes where he was able to accomplish the impossible.
Both players support Ipswich and were happy to see their team perform exceptionally well in the game.
"I've been on the pitch before, after I reached the World Championship final in 2004, but it was special to be able to show off a trophy this time around," said Painter.
Kevin especially made his way to Ipswich to witness the game.
He is currently in Aberdeen for the ongoing McCoy Premier League event, where the debutant is still searching for a victory after facing defeat at the hands of Gary Anderson and Phil Taylor.
He further added, "I had a really good day and it was great of Ipswich to invite us both down. The team got a win too which made it even more memorable!"
Painter, a native of Essex, has special loyalty and dedication associated with the way his team performs.
This can further be vindicated from the fact that he has been a long-standing ticket holder for Ipswich. He comes to watch his match even when he is not in the middle of the game.
