  1. Northern Territory Wildlife Park is a must do.  Really excellent.

Also, ask about the local swimming holes.  Where Darwinians go when they want to swim.  Every one we visited was fantastic.  There was one which was a series of swimming holes connected by little waterfalls.  Another big billabong with a waterfall into it.  Great places to swim.

(Do not choose your own places to swim - you need to be very sure it is a place crocs cannot reach).

I liked the war museum if you like that kind of thing.

Great place to eat was on the wharf down in the harbour.  Outdoor dining.  pretty good (although things may have changed since I was there last).

    Have a good time.

  2. There are plenty of places to eat in the city along Mitchell street, otherwise there is a good fish & chip shop in anula, or on Jingli there is a chinese take away food shop (Mings Court) that makes the best pizza's (it sounds weird, but they do).

There are alot of campervans around just before that time of year, so most places have places to park them.

Some really good places to go are:

    Aquascene, you hand feed fish.

Batchlor, has a butterfly farm to see.

Adelaide River, is where they filmed the movie Crocodile Dunn Dee.  Also they have a jumping crocodile curise, where they dangle meat of the side of a boat and they jump up to eat it.

    Otherwise try this website www.travelnt.com.au

    Hope this helps.

  3. tumbling waters caravan park is a great place to stay. you are 5 mins away from Berrie springs [beautiful water to swim in ]. there is a dirt road that takes you into the litchfield national park [visit wangi falls , Florence falls, magnetic termite mounds, and the lost city.] heading towards Darwin turn off to Adelaide river and on your left hand side you'll see a sign to a crocodile cruise [this cruise is the better one] and foggs dam also worth a look . hope you have fun

  4. You're best to research using the official Northern Territory Tourism website here: http://en.travelnt.com/  ;  National Parks and Wildlife : http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/nation...  and on the occassions you decide on a decent nights sleep with amenities versus your wonderful campervan - try http://www.cheaperthanhotels.com.au

Other place in the areas are :

    Darwin : http://www.cheaperthanhotels.com.au/Aust...

    Kakadu National Park  : http://www.cheaperthanhotels.com.au/Aust...

    Alica Springs : http://www.cheaperthanhotels.com.au/Aust...

    Katherine : http://www.cheaperthanhotels.com.au/Aust...

    Ayers Rock [ Uluru ] : http://www.cheaperthanhotels.com.au/Aust...

Use the maps and route planners to help you on this site - they are really handy with distances and place to stay.
