Dashing David determined to win Novice Stakes
The Richard Hannon-trained bay colt, Dashing David, is fully determined to seal top spot in the Trade Union Congress Novice Stakes that will be held at Doncaster racecourse on Friday, June 29. The Class 5 contest over 7 furlongs is scheduled to begin at
3:00 (GMT).
Pursuing the prize cheque worth £2,264, the son of Lemon Drop Kid out of Nyarhini will compete against 4 rivals. It is for the first time the two-year-old novice runner will run on the Good track.
The young and energetic colt has just own race to his name. He staged a stunning debut at Nottingham track on June 6, 2012. This was E B F Play Totequadpot At Totepool.Com Maiden Stakes over 5 furlongs.
Running against 4 competitors, the Sir David Seale-owned sprinter elegantly notched up top spot, boosting up his morale greatly and establishing himself well in the betting market.
Considering his previous performance, it is quite logical to claim that the brilliant runner will be able to lift the Novice Stakes title emphatically.
If Dashing David manages to read the ground condition properly, he will have up to 85 percent chances to finish first today.
Among the other runners, each one of London Citizen and Silver Ridge poses to be a strong contender for victory.
London Citizen too has one race with one triumph to his credit. The Mrs K. Burke-trained chestnut colt nicely notched up first position in his maiden outing entitled as Barry Kitchener Memorial Maiden Auction Stakes. The event over 6 furlongs was held at
Kempton on May 22, 2012.
On the other hand, Silver Ridge has run for two times in his career so far. The Ralph Beckett-trained grey colt debuted with 9th position against 14 rivals on May 18, 2012. This was Hildon Maiden Stakes that went down at Newbury course of 6 furlongs.
The skilled sprinter stepped ahead to finish first in the next outing on June 11. This was EBF Coolmore Alfred Noble Median Auction Maiden Stakes, held at Windsor. Silver Ridge was 5-2 favourite for that event.
Thus, none of these three runners is familiar with any 7-furlong track. Let us see how they manage to perform at Doncaster. Good luck to all the contestants.
