Database Integration - Help please?

Question

I have a DB for MMS Work Orders (WO) and JDE for financial info. Each activity in JDE is one WO, but each WO in the MMS can be one or many activities. I can only push from the JDE db and fields need to be added etc. So I am thinking that in the MMS WO i can use the tasks in a WO instead of the WO number itself and assign each task to 1 JDE WO. So that all tasks can be on one MMS WO but all task (activities) have 1 WO in JDE. Then create a new DB and add the needed info from JDE and add all of the needed fields. Push the JDE data into this DB and then into the MMS DB, and push data from the MMS WO into the new db. I think that this would allow me to update the MMS WO in real time and solve the bigger problem of keeping the one to one relationship but I wanted to get some opinions on if this would work or what kind of problems you can see with this.
