I am looking for a database of wines for some software that I am working on. My software needs to look up wines and suggest likely matches as the user inputs a wine's name. I am not looking for a web site where I can look up wines; I specifically need to embed the database so it can be used when the software is offline. I also am not looking for a container such as Excel, Access or MySQL; I am looking for the actual data about wines. I'd like to have as many wines as possible both recent and from years gone by, organized by year, variety, color and country. If there is an extensive list in text or CSV format I could import it into my own database. I'd prefer a free or public domain database but may be open to a small licensing fee.
