The blast from the past that is Kimiko Date Krumm has won through a three set first round against Anna Chakvetadze, and now plays 16th seed Nadia Petrova. Who will win?

We all know just how inconsistent Petrova can be, so the door is open for Date Krumm and her old school style of tennis here. If Petrova can’t get a handle on Date Krumm’s style of play – which she won’t have seen too much of against the power-hitters of today – the Russian could be in trouble. Or maybe I’d just like to see Date Krumm push deep into the tournament and am missing the reality that the Russian will simply prove too strong in this one.
