I have a friend who married a man she met online. They have been together for 7 years now. Another friend met a man on myspace and they have been together for a year, and talking about getting married..I have done the online dating thing but it seems to work for some..

How can you actually get to know somebody from online dating? That isn't really dating at all! This is  the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of.  I'll buy "meeting" somebody, but dating? Come on!!

i've dated a guy that i met online.. i livd in cali n he lived in new jersey.. we eventually met in person.. we went out for bout 2 years.. but didnt end up goin ne further.. we are still good friends and have been for 6 years!!.. but jus remember to be safe!

I dated a guy online and drove from Mississippi to Wisconsin to meet him. Then I moved in with him, and discovered he was psycho. I left after being there a month. I will never again date someone online. You really never can tell about the person because you are not personally interacting with that person in person, make any sense? Just encourage her to be careful, and if she wants to meet him encourage her to take a few friends along to protect her and to get their perspectives on him.I wish her the best of luck.
