like if you're hanging out for half a day, or even a full day, is it expected that dinner at a nice place should always follow?

i'm not talking about the 1st, 2nd or 3rd date. a more advanced stage.

  1. no unless you are with a traditional person. Dinner at a fancy place doesn't have to always be involved however people do get hungry lol. Grab something and finish the date like doing something cool, go to the beach at night, go to a spa together, go bowling at night, take a hike (lol seriously) theres SOO much to do. If i were with someone that only thought of dinner at a fancy place would qualify a date as "good" then I'd get sick of them and the way they think. TO ME (not everyone) but it seems a little shallow and close-minded.

    It's all about the ego.

  2. no- at least not for me.  we'd always just cook together and make our own meals.

  3. no way! get take out and watch a movie. It's casual and way less expensive. You dont need to be so formal at an advanced stage in the relationship

  4. No, i have been to dinner once with my boyfriend! and we have been going out for 11 months which sounds kinda bad but we just hang out... occasionally go to the movies.. have nice days out and stuff

  5. Not unless you would normally eat out a lot.  I certainly wouldn't expect it in an established relationship.  It would make more sense to just cook at home.

  6. Absolutely not!  However, take her on fun trips every now and then.  Dinner is boring after a while (and expensive.)  Take her out for ice cream and then a walk to the park.  Take her to the beach or an amusement park.  Take her out on a picnic - you do the planning.  Surprise her.  She'll like that.

  7. Hanging out is not a date. It's just hanging out.

But of course you can get together for something sort of date-like and not go for dinner at a nice place. Dinner's just one of your options. Although if you're together during dinner time, one would assume you will both get hungry and get food. But it could just be fast food or popcorn at a movie or something instead of a proper meal.

  8. Not at all.  Kick back and watch a movie and stuff.  Hang out and do normal everyday things together.  Why dont you cook dinner for your partner.  Far nicer in my eyes!
