what do you think is an/the appropriate age to date? i think something like 14. ( when i say date i mean have a boyfriend. )

any younger your just messing around, and if you do decide to ahve a boyfriend younger than 15 or 14 than be careful. dont take it to far. dont be one of those people who becomes a mommy at 14. wen you start to date to young you start kissing at 12 making out at 13 and more like a b.j at 14 and then you do it wen your 15. thats to young. so date wen you 15. so you will do it wen you 19. not to young or old.

Some people are mature at 14,and some are not mature at 24.So I think you can date at 14 if you keep your studies up.If you show maturity by keeping up with all your home and family and school things,then you are probably ready.Just be happy.I see so many rushing to things, that they dont enjoy their "now."

14 is good as dating is the stage of getting to know someone you jus have to wait till you about 18 (the legal age) before you start doing thing that might get you in trouble so that you will be able to handle mature situations like taking your relationship to the next level

It depends entirely on the person and whether they are looking for a long term relationship or not.

I'd say maybe start the dating process at around 16 when your more mature.

17-18 perhaps when your looking to have a long term relationship and both you and your partner are more mature and have a slight idea about what you want in life.

Dating/Having a boyfriend I think 16 is a good age.Now if you want to go out in groups 14 is okay.Dating at the age of 14 to soon.Having a boyfriend/girlfriend is an added responsiblity.It sounds so cute but when you break up.You have to deal with the heartache.And you are to young to deal with that.Having a boyfriend will never go out of style dont rush it.And having a boyfriend is not in the law books.

16 for an actual real relationship. That's because any guy that's under 16 is probably only looking for.. well.. You know. I mean, I know that's completely stereotypical, but dating under 16 is just doesn't seem like anybody can be serious. I mean, when you date when you're younger, it's cool to hold hands, and kiss at the movies.. But that's not what makes a relationship. You'll realize it when you're old enough, what your first real relationships were.. verses all the other ones you had before you were ready.

I'd say age 16. Reasons for this is because at 16 you and your boyfriend can more than likely drive from place to place. Plus, you both possibly could get jobs so u can have money for going out on good dates. Overall, at that age you can become more responsible and less reliable on your parents taking you to and fro. This may sound crazy but so much happens in early teenager years, i dont think a real boyfriend/girlfriend is worth remembering until 15.
