Question:

Datsyuk and Zetterberg will not play on the same line this year. Good idea?

When I play NHL 06 (yeah I know its a bit dated, but I only have a ps2), I always stack my first line with my best 3 players. I know this is a poor comparison to the real life NHL (especially since I usually win by a margin of 10 goals or more), but doesn't it make sense to keep them together? They've been split onto seperate lines many times in the past, and they always end up back together. Shouldn't they leave a good thing alone and stop messing with things?

  1. Babs always splits them up for periods of times. If you have noticed, he changes lines not only on a game to game situation but during the game. Truthfully I dont think it matters with as deep as they are. They have a TOP 6 as deep as anyone in the league.

Babcock said going into camp these were his lines:

    Datsyuk-Hossa-Holmstrom

    Zata-Franzen-Hudler

    Filppula-Cleary-Samuelsson

    Draper-Maltby-Kopecky

That will change before the season even starts and continue to change on a game to game basis.

  2. I'm not sure if that will work or if it will stick like that.
