Daughter's 7th b-day party ideas?

I am looking for ideas for my daughter's 7th b-day party. I really would like to have it away from home this year, but don't want to do the typical mcdonalds, bowling alley, or fun center thing. We have a local fun center and my daughter has been invited to like 25 parties there, just this year. We have had "big" parties for every year and may want to tone it down a little this year, as we are inviting all 25 of her classmates from school (don't want to leave any one out, not big on the girls only cause then the boys may get upset). She had Cinderella at her 5th and her 6th was a luau (grass skirts, leis, pool, and a huge mural of the beach. Some one give me a great idea. At this moment in time she likes cats, dogs, Hannah Montana, High School Musical, and just the average little girly things. ******Just a note: her B-day is 4 months away, but i like to be organized and ready a month before, just because of all the graduation parties around this time

  1. How about like a cooking party thing, where they each make their own sundae's since you want to tone it down a bit..

Like get all kinds of ice cream & dishes, then in little containers all KINDS of toppings, etc. They can make their own sundae's. We did a cupcake party thing where the kids decorated their own cupcakes & they had a BLAST.

You know what else we may do some year a "Costume party". We save our costumes all the time & have everyone else bring their costumes & they can all dress up & play.

  2. Hannah Montana, High School Musical, and a bunch of Disney stuff would work (I hate them, but maybe she won't. I'm 13 though). Does she like Bratz? What about Barbie or Polly Pocket? Lots of choices for 7 year old girls out there. Maybe a picnic at a lake or a city pool would work. A bunch of picnic tables, and baloons, a pinata, candy. . . maybe a park? Then the kids can run around after getting hyped up on sugar and go swing or play on a slide or something fun like that.  Just ideas though. lol. It's your choice. :)

Oh!  But happy birthday to your daughter!  She's lucky to have a parent like you who plans their parties early (or at all unlike me. lol).  Happy Birthday!!! ~.O

  3. I just did my daughters 10th bday at A.C. Moore but all the craft stores do it. AC Moore was the cheapest. At ours we could only have 10 kids, you get a room and a person to do a craft with the kid. We bought pizza and i made cupcakes. The kids had sooo much fun! I would do it again in a heartbeat.

My younger daughter's 8th bday was in October and we had her party at our local state park. I paid for a picnic area and we had a bbq and cupcakes. the kids ran around, we brought bubbles, and a kickball and a ball and bat and we were right by the playground, so they played there too. That was loads of fun too. I too was looking for something different. Slumber parties were getting old and there is only so many times I will go bowling or skating.......

  4. Oh, you can have it in the garage.put marbles on the floor and then fill a  pinota full of hornets and give them a blind fold and a stick.Stand back, WAY back and watch the fun.

  5. Have you done a sleep over? Just invite 2-4 girls.

  6. Hannah Montana and high school musical are both good ideas. you could rent ( if you don't already have) HMS 1 and 2 and have like a movie day. and for Hannah Montana you could get or use a karaoke machine and have them sing their favorite songs.i would also like to give you props for the luau I didn't get to have a luau till my 13 b-day it was crazy. I have seen people to both of these themes and the kids loved them. I hope this helps you

  7. You could rent out a movie theater for a party. Too bad her birthday is in 4 months. You could have did the Hannah Montana concert movie. Many movie theaters have birthday packages.

Why don't you ask her what she wants? She is old enough that she shouldn't have to invite the entire class - especially if it is a summer birthday. If she only invites her actual friends maybe you could have a girly day where they get their nails polished and their hair done.

  8. My 7yr old's party was at Build-A-Bear in the mall.  They actually have affordable party options AND they have Hannah Montana accessories-possibly HSM by now too.

  9. you could try adding a bouncy castle or inflatable slide, expect to pay around £45 for a small bouncy castle and around £55 for a inflatable slide and usually for 8 hours hire.

  10. Have a magician come and do tricks and make balloon animals and all that stuff. That would be cool for boys and girls. Pair that with pizza and cake and ice cream and it sounds like a good time to me!
