Daughter Of Peg wins The Banks’s Bitter Stakes at Monmore
Daughter Of Peg triggered a mammoth upset in The Banks’s Bitter Stakes by beating Roeview Beauty, with a huge margin of 4 ¼ lengths at Monmore track on January 19. It was a Grade A1 race of 480m category.
The black and white b***h ran against Roeview Beauty, Are We Dancers, Emirates Classic, Astros Rocket and Hello Dino.
The break call came at 20:57. Daughter Of Peg broke from trap 3 swiftly, and had an excellent pace in the beginning. Just a few yards away from the starting point, the b***h managed to take the lead.
Each of her five opponents was keen to browbeat her, but she kept advancing with confidence and courage. Half way through the race, she managed a safe distance from her competitors.
After that, the daughter of Ballymac Peg ran comfortably till the end. She took 28.91 seconds to complete the distance.
Trained by C Allsopp, the b***h started her career on June 6, 2010. She has an outstanding victory ratio to her credit.
Being a non-favourite runner, no one from the spectators and bookies could expect such a big show from her before the start of the event. On the contrary, all eyes at the venue were focused on, Hello Dino, who was the most favourite hound with starting
price of 2 to 1.
However, the brilliant b***h stunned all at once by sealing the tremendous victory.

The second position fell to, Roeview Beauty, who consumed 29.25 seconds to reach the destination, after breaking from trap 1. The fawn b***h got impeded from the very beginning after crowding. This affected her stamina badly, and she wasn’t able to
perk up her speed afterwards.
The daughter of Farloe Charity made her debut on April 7, 2011. She ended up with the second spot for the second time in her career. Whelped in September 2009, she is trained by C Price.
Are We Dancers finished third in the race. Breaking from Trap 6, the black and white dog reached the finish line in 29.31 seconds, trailing by ¾ of a length. The son of Top Savings crowded first but went on to run smoothly afterwards. Whelped in September
2008, he also gets training from C Allsopp.
At the end of the event, Daughter of Peg earned £161, and Roeview Beauty got £47. Each of the other four hounds bagged £35.
