  1. Bathe her often and put her in a long tee shirt with no panties for a few days around the house.  After each trip to the potty, dip her in warm water and wash with a mild soap. Pat dry.

If the rash is composed of thousands of tiny dots and the rash has a clean, obvious, edge- then it may be a yeast infection.  Your ped can recommend an kid-safe cream for that.

I would look into washing her clothes in baby detergent, her skin is especially sensitive right now.   Avoid aloe, both my kids are allergic and it just lights up a rash when applied.  Make sure you don't have toilet paper with aloe added.

    Good luck!

  2. Did they do a strep test?  Could be a strep rash which would need antibiotics.  Its the same virus as strep throat, but she might not have any of those symptoms.

  3. Does she wear pullups or undies?  My son has the same problem with his pullups.. I put on a pair of undies and let him run with buttcream on.. I have tried tghis really thick stuff I got at wal-mart called triple paste.. and it works very well!  I dont use wipes because they have alchol in them and it tends to make it worse, instead a wash rag and I bath him more frequently, this seems to work well! Good luck!

  4. My mother is a firm believer in corn starch.  Give her a lukewarm bath and cover the area in corn starch.

My cousin's daughter had a rash this bad one time and it was a yeast infection.  We used Monistat on her (via doctor's approval) and it slowly improved.  Boudreaux's Butt Cream is also good.  Apply a thin layer.  If she's potty trained and you're able to keep her home, put a little skirt on her and let the cool air hit her.  If this isn't possible, put cotton undies on her.  (I was allergic to my panties when I was a kid.  The only undies I was able to wear and not break out was cotton.)

I know that it's very painful for her.  Just remember, any remedy is going to take time!!

    God bless you and yours!
