She does talk to "other" people, but it would be nice for her to talk to people with the same disibility, so she can converse learn new things and share ideas and experiences.

  1. What exactly is the question here?

  2. Is there a website or online community? There may not be anyone else locally, but nationally and internationally there's almost sure to be. And an open forum where you can choose to hide your email address is pretty safe - though you should always make sure you keep an eye on what she's doing online.

(I'm assuming she's a suitable age for internet forums, of course - if she's younger it might be more a question of you joining the forum and getting to know fellow parents).

  3. Try getting her involved with the Special Olimpics in you area. If you talk to her school they may be able to point you in the right direction. She can be around other people with disablities and learn team work and they have a great time.

  4. There are homes that kids like her that she can visit with permission and works shops for  kids with  disabilities.Use  your computer for websites  in your town about this subject and a way she can learn to interact with kids with disabilities.
