Well i always had simple birthday parties. Well at least 20 people my family and close friends. And we always had chicken from stater bros and my grandma made potato salad. And that was it. And my other half always had rice, beans, some things i dont even know how to spell. (cause it is mexican food) But anyways besides that her birthday is in October and i am already planning and i dont want to do separate parties because i want all of are family together. So their will be about a good 40 people or more. I cant do it at the house to small. What should i do? Should i just do to separate parties? Help me please.

  1. Why must you serve a meal! This is about birthday cake & ice cream and taking lots of pictures!  This is a special time, spend it enjoying your child not serving food to all the relatives. She will only turn "one" on that special day, don't blink! Happy Birthday baby!

  2. Have one birthday party. Include some Mexican dishes (ask your Mother-in-Law for some good recipes) and some dishes your family will enjoy, too. Keep it easy. Make sure you make an individual little cake for the 1 year old. Put a sheet down under her highchair and let her make a big mess. Take lots of pictures and have fun with it. Be sure you have some snack kind of items like chips, deviled eggs, relish tray along with the other food. Make some brownies. I always like to find them on a family buffet.

  3. go to a park or somewhere that u would think everybody would feel comfortable hope this sparked an idea

  4. Go to an all you can eat buffet somewhere nice.

No cooking or cleaning for you.

Add a few personal touches to the decorations, napkins, baloons, party hats. Resturants normally allow that if you come with a group

    and get a nice cake
