I'm planning my daughters first birthday party on Monday.

So far for food I have ... Brats, hot dogs, watermellon, chips, cake, ice cream bars (she doesn't like scoops of ice cream), and a pasta salad. Oh, and obvilously drinks.

Any ideas of what else I can include?

  1. Burgers, and a mixed green salad with tomatoes, carrots, peppers, cucumbers, chick peas and maybe a little red onion).

  2. a lot more fruit to satisfy the judgmental adults. and fruit juice

  3. I would have some gardenburgers on hand in case you have any vegetarians coming (plus they are healthier for the kids). Don't forget the condiments! Kids love grapes. I would do a veggie platter.

You want to get children used to the idea of eating veggies at a young age (even at birthdays) so that they will like them later in life. Hope this helps.

  4. I don't think chips and ice cream bars is a good idea because she is only turning one and kids that age don't have that much junk at that age
