Pakistan coach, Dav Whatmore, has reacted sharply to news reports suggesting a rift with T20 skipper Mohammad Hafeez.
“I wish to clarify that I am currently not in Pakistan and have not given any interview or statement to any media. Neither have I submitted or discussed any such suggestion to any office in the PCB. The news item is totally incorrect and based on wrong intentions,” Whatmore stated.
Earlier, some media outlets reported that Hafeez’s authoritative attitude had forced Whatmore to ask the board for the removal of the flamboyant skipper. It was also reported that seniors players were backing Whatmore’s move.
