Pakistan head coach, Dav Whatmore, anticipates a tough tour of Sri Lanka for the Men in Green and has warned his side that the Lankans are a very strong unit when playing at home.
Whatmore seemed content with the preparation of Pakistani team for the tour. The 58-year-old said, “I think we are doing enough to prepare ourselves properly for pretty strong opposition in their home country.”

However, Whatmore believes that the Pakistani team, which is on a short training camp in Lahore, will adjust quickly to the conditions since they are already practicing in the sub-continental summer.
“It's pretty warm out here as well but its easy for us to acclimatise (to Sri Lankan conditions), We're lucky we do a bit of work in the heat, early in the morning and a little bit in the afternoon,” the former Australian cricketer
said while talking to reporters at the National Cricket Academy.

Whatmore was happy with the induction of young blood into the side, the coach however, reserved his comments on the captaincy issue.
He said, “I am happy to see that players are being selected based on their suitability to a format. As far as leadership is concerned, that is out of my area and I will support and back anything that the PCB does.”
