Unai Emery’s replacement has had a difficult time adjusting to life at the Mestalla, with his position coming under great scrutiny after Los Che’s unimpressive start to 2012/13 La Liga season.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mauricio-c24899 Pellegrino’s managerial career with Valencia is a story tale in itself. After securing an impressive 1-1 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu in the opening fixture of the current La Liga campaign, El Flaco has failed in his bid to reinvigorate the team
that finished 3rd in Spanish top flight competition last term.
Seven fixtures into the campaign, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 are 14th in La Liga standings, with two wins and two draws, while welcoming his charges back into the dressing room on the back of three defeats.
Los Che have eight points to show for their activities, and they are a dismal 53 behind their tally for 2011/12 campaign.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Albelda-c10417 came out in the defence of the under-fire manager, claiming that it would be "unfair" to load the blame of all problems on Mauricio Pellegrino.
He stated that everyone in the dressing room needs to stand up for their share, sharing that only with a combined team effort will they be able to turn around their fortunes.
"The blame for what is right and wrong of all. It's best to be together all the way and there are good times and some bad, so it is unfair to lay all about the figure of the coach and especially when correctable errors by us."
"I think every one should be marked as goal to give the best of himself. Much can improve concentration, because many goals are due to lack of concentration and I do not think our coach can correct there," the experienced midfielder added.
Continuing on the topic, Albelda hailed Pellegrino’s coaching style. He stated that El Flaco knows things as a player and using that intelligence to get result.
It was always going to be a difficult position to take on, with Pellegrino acknowledging the position he finds himself in. He admitted that there have been some good and some less good results that Valencianistas had to face, but is convinced that they will
be able to turn the corner.
