Barcelona will be facing Valencia on the coming Sunday, and Albelda believes that even though the Catalan giants have lost their recent fixture against Madrid, that will not affect anything.
Valencia will be facing Barcelona in the upcoming La Liga fixture, on Sunday.
The Spanish side, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863, got off to a fine start in the Spanish La Liga, considering that they had to face the current Spanish champions, Real Madrid.
Even though Los Blancos were considered to be the favourites to emerge victorious from their first La Liga fixture, Valencia were able to surprise them as the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
Valencia have taken only two points in La Liga so far, drawing both their fixtures which they have played – one against Real Madrid and the other against Deportivo La Coruna.
Valencia’s opponents on the upcoming Sunday, Barcelona, have been impressive during the start of the Spanish La Liga.
The Catalan giants won their first fixture 5-1 against Real Sociedad and later managed to beat Osasuna 1-2, making a comeback after Osasuna took the lead in the first half.
Even though http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 have gathered all six points in La Liga so far, they couldn’t emerge victorious against Real Madrid during the Supercopa de Espana.
Despite winning the first leg 3-2 at the Nou Camp, Barcelona had to surrender to a 2-1 defeat at the Santiago Bernabeu, and eventually lost the two-legged final on away-goal rule.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Albelda-c10417 spoke before the fixture against Barcelona, stating that even though Barcelona have lost the Supercopa de Espana against Real Madrid, they will not be affected by the result in any way and Valencia will concentrate on the fixture that they
will be playing against the Catalan giants.
While speaking about the upcoming game against Barcelona, David Albelda stated:
“The next game [for Barcelona] is on Sunday. It is not a Supercopa game, but a League match. I do not think that affects them at all.”
With Valencia managing to draw both their fixtures, and Barcelona winning both their games, nothing can be said prior to the game against Valencia.
Barcelona are currently five points above Real Madrid, and Tito Vilanova is going to try and maintain this lead until the end of the season.
