David Beckham believes Manchester City can’t win the Premier League this season
Former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Beckham-c10432 believes Manchester City can’t win the Premier League this season.
The thirty six year old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international, when talking about the team stated that they were a good side and that they using their resources brilliantly, but he still feels they aren’t cut out to win the Premier League just yet. Instead, Beckham believes Manchester United possess a much higher chance of taking home the Premier League at the end of the season.
When talking about City and their chances of winning the Premier League, the midfielder is quoted to have said: "I don't think Manchester City have a chance"
"This season they have got a good team and some good players, but Manchester United have more experience and know how to win a championship."
So far this season, City have been turning heads and even went on to beat Manchester United by six goals to one. However, the team hasn’t been performing to well on the European stage and are hence being favoured to come out on top in the Premier League, as opposed to Europe. For those reasons, it seems rather weird for Beckham to be making claims over the fact that City are unlikely to win the Premier League, since the only trophy that they seem to be on course to winning, is the Premier League.
At the moment, Beckham seems to find himself in a rather uncertain situation. The player is not sure over what he wants to do in the future and with his contract at LA Galaxy coming to an end, it is only a matter of time before he decides if he is going to continue playing, or calls it quits altogether.
The midfielder has been linked to the likes of AC Milan, PSG, Tottenham and QPR, however, Bekcham is yet to make any statements over what side he is going to join, or if he is going to be joining any team at all.
However, with the midfielder aspiring to be a part of the Great Britain team in 2012, it is quite likely for him to make a move to a club playing at the highest of levels, in order to prove his fitness for the Olympic squad, while keeping his head in the game for as long as he can.
All in all, it is now going to be a long wait to see just what the midfielder decides to do in the future.
