David Beckham finally returns to football in LA Galaxy
England midfielder David Beckham has officially made a comeback and played in his first competitive match in six months for LA Galaxy. LA Galaxy won the match 3-1 from Columbus Crew at Home Depot Center. The former England Captain was ruled out of the World Cup following his ruptured Achilles while playing on loan term with AC Milan in March 2010. That injury ruled him out of the prestigious tournament but seemed fully recovered when he came on as a 70th minute substitute.
Beckham made no possible impact to Galaxy, as the side were all ready 3 goals up. It was a low-key substitute appearance for the English Star whose last match for the MLS side came in November 2009. David did manage to be booked for a lousy tackle in only 4 minutes of his arrival on the pitch. Beckham played on his favoured right wing position and linked well with former Everton loan star Landon Donovan. Beckham was seen in a heated conversation with referee’s assistant upon his arrival while making a possible opportunity for Donovan.
The former Three Lions skipper’s international career has been put into jeopardy by manager Fabio Capello, as the Italian looks to replace the old legs with young and fresher blood. MLS side checked off the 35 year old from their disabled list and would now be expected to help the Franchise claim the MLS Trophy.
Their win against Columbus takes the side to 47 points, which is the best of both eastern and western conferences. Following his much awaited return to LA, the former England skipper wished to feature for the Three lions.  The former Manchester Untied man looks to make his return to international football as early as October 12th, when England take on Montenegro at Wembley stadium.  "I'd like to be available to play for England. If I'm fit then I'm sure the (England) manager will consider me”, claimed the 35 year old.
Beckham confirmed that when he got injured, he never thought of playing football. At such a age, the player claimed that even the most positive of people would consider their careers following such a disaster. However, Beckham was delighted to be fit again and play with the team, which is too good to be true.
The former Manchester United star is no less than a national hero. The player has earned over 115 caps for the national side and remains an England faithful. Fans would cheer everytime the player touches the ball and delivers a cross from his magical feet. Beckham is known for his pin point passes and curling free kicks, which made him a sensation in early 2000s. Beckham transferred to Real Madrid in 2003 and earned a lot of success. After spending four successful years, he transferred to USA to sign up with LA Galaxy. Seeing him back in action with the Three Lions would be every English fan’s dream.
