David Beckham still to decide over possible Everton loan
LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham says that he is still to decide whether to make the temporary switch to English Premier League side Everton.
The Toffees' manager David Moyes has extended an open invitation to England's most-capped outfield player after the 35-year-old had two spells on loan at AC Milan in the last two seasons during Major League Soccer's close season.
Beckham made the temporary switch to the Italian giants to keep up his fitness and prove to England national team coach Fabio Capello that he could play a key role in his country's 2010 FIFA World Cup campaign.
However, he sustained a Achilles injury during his second stint at Milan in March 2010 and was ruled out of playing with England in South Africa.
Beckham has since sworn off any chance of making a return to the San Siro, but contends that he is yet to make a decision over the offer made to him by his former Preston North End team-mate Moyes, as his main concern is getting back to full fitness.
He told ITN, "I'm just trying to get myself fit and get my fitness back from obviously, the injury I got seven months ago. So I am just trying to make sure my body is in the right condition and then I'll think about it. But I haven't decided anything
yet."
Beckham has been with Galaxy since making the switch to the MLS from Spanish giants Real Madrid in the summer of 2007.
During his career, he has won six EPL titles, two FA Cups and the UEFA Champions League with Manchester United, and the Primera Division championship with Real Madrid.
He was also named the BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 2001 and UEFA Club Footballer of the Year in the 1998-99 season, and was also inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2008.
