Spurs boss Harry Redknapp stated that the deal could not go through as a problem was encountered over an agreement of Beckham’s insurance. However, latest developments have revealed that LA Galaxy were only granting the player a one month loan term. Spurs
on the other hand desired to acquire Beckham’s services for at least two months. Since an agreement could not be reached, the talks broke off.
A statement on Spurs official website read, “Tottenham Hotspur is delighted to announce that England's most capped outfield player, David Beckham will train with the First Team squad. David will train with the Club until February 10 when he will be required

Redknapp has insisted that Beckham’s presence during training sessions will have a positive influence on the players. Redknapp praised the English midfielder, stating that Beckham is a through professional and has a winning mentality which will be transferred
to the Spurs squad.
Beckham has said, “It's important that I maintain a high level of fitness during the MLS off season. I'm thankful to Tottenham and Harry Redknapp for giving me the opportunity to train with the team over the next month. I'm grateful to the LA Galaxy for
allowing me to train with the Spurs. I look forward to getting to work as soon as possible."
Last month Beckham had publically revealed his desire to sign a loan deal with a European club. He also disclosed that he was seeking this loan term to prove his fitness to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello. In the last two years, Beckham has spent two separate
