David Dunn believes Blackburn Rovers are headed in right direction
Blackburn midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 are destined to make their way further up the Premier League table after they eased to their third consecutive home win under the guidance of Steve Kean.
Kean took over the reins of the club after Sam Allardyce’s dismissal a few weeks ago. The new Rovers manager had the unenviable task of convincing the fans that he was right man for the job, especially since Allardyce was such a beloved figure at Ewood Park.
Kean’s appointment was met with much criticism from both the supporters and the players; however, his tactics have started to produce results.
Everyone involved at the club is starting to warm up to Steve Kean, with David Dunn being the latest to praise the new manager. Dunn said, “It seems a while ago that I was a young lad playing and trying to entertain a little bit but it is a real pleasure
watching the young lads taking people on and playing with that enthusiasm and freedom that we all want to see. We have the confidence in our dressing room to know that we can push on up that table.”
Blackburn’s victory against West Bromwich Albion saw them move up to seventh place in the Barclays Premier League standings; a remarkable achievement for a club which is so used to battling against relegation. If the Rovers continue their current form, they
might just be in with a shot of clinching a place in the European competition in the 2010-11 season.
New club owners Venky’s have appointed Steve Kean on a temporary basis while they look around for a high-profile manager to lead the club. However, if Kean can continue to churn out results like these, they might just consider giving him the job on a permanent
basis.
Kean will face his next test when Blackburn go up against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Saturday 29 January, 2011.
