Manchester United manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson had recently gone on record to state that the Red Devils were not looking to add to their squad. However, David Gill recently came forth and contradicted the manager’s words as he stated that the team might just be
looking to sign one more player.
David Gill, when talking about United and the possibility of them signing one more player is quoted to have said: "Edwin made it known that last season would be his last so we had planned for a new goalkeeper well in advance.”
"With the others, the opportunities came along and we were comfortable with that. So we've made three signings.”

"We're looking at one more player to bring in. Nothing's happening - nothing imminent - on that at the moment, but we'll see what happens when we get home.”
Gill then went on to drop a major hint, as to what sort of player was soon going to be making his way to the club, as he went on to add: "We've been looking at a particular position and two or three players in that position, but nothing's imminent at the
moment"
These words from Gill seem to finally confirm that the rumours that had been floating about, regarding United and their transfer policy are in fact real after all.
Ferguson had previously tired his best to ward of any and all media attention from himself and his team’s transfers, but it seems like David Gill wasn’t on the same page as the manager, as he went on to slip up and reveal the team’s plans to the media.
Nonetheless, with Gill outing the team, we can now believe that a central midfielder is going to be on his way to Old Trafford in the near future.
At the moment, the duo of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wesley-Sneijder-c36799 lead the race and are being hailed as the favourites to sign up for United.
Nasri was the Red Devils primary target this summer. Following the French international’s disagreement with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, over signing a new contract, the player edged close to making a move out of the club. As a result, United seemed to turn most of their attention
towards Nasri, in hopes that he might sign for them.
On the other hand, Sneijder seemed to be on the brink of joining United on a number of occasions this past month. Almost everyone on the United squad expressed their love for the player and Ferguson even admitted d that he would make a move for the player,
should he be made available.
United fans can now sit back and wait for a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-Scholes-c29394 successor to make his way to the club, within the next fortnight.
