David Haye: Dereck Chisora followed me everywhere to break a fight – Boxing News
David Haye will be stepping in the ring against Dereck Chisora on July 14 for a grudge match. While fans thought they are holding grudges for each other for the Vitali Klitschko incident, the rabbit hole seems to get deeper every passing day. The recent addition to the lead up is David Haye’s revelations regarding Dereck Chisora hunting him down on streets and in public places to get a fight with him.
According to Haye, Chisora started following him on the streets after their public brawl in Munich after Chisora lost Vitali. Haye was present at a press conference to promote his fight against Chisora. He revealed, “Everywhere I have gone to, restaurants, bars or clubs, they always say, 'Dereck Chisora was in here looking for you. I knew I was going to bump into him sooner rather than later, although I know he gets knocked back from most of the clubs anyway. He gets bounced off every nightclub in central London. So finally I went out to a restaurant in Berkeley Square and he must have been tipped off because he came running in there. I was trying to enjoy a nice meal. He sits down opposite me at my table and says, 'I want to fight you, I want to do this and do that.' I was like, 'Well, we're talking to Frank Warren anyway.'”
He further said that he was with a friend and he had the feeling that a brawl would start but he kept himself calm. According to Haye, he knew he would take Chisora down so he kept his cool. He added that Chisora is a moron and that he is delusional. He added that Chisora lost three title fights in a row, which makes him a loser, and there is no explanation for that. Haye called Chisora a loser at every level and that he will lose again against him.
It should be noted here that the BBBC has warned officials against taking part in Haye vs. Chisora bout. According to the BBBC, anyone who will take part in the bout, including officials, managers and promoters, will be banned.
