David Haye believes Vitali’s title defence was a terrible attempt – Boxing News
Although David Haye knows his chances of landing a title shot at WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko are minimal, he is taking his shots at the Ukrainian fighter in hopes of scoring a fight.
Recently, on September 8, Vitali Klitschko defeated German fighter Manuel Charr via TKO to defend his WBC crown successfully. However, Vitali himself was not satisfied with the win, revealing that he was looking for a knockout and not a technical knockout.
Similarly, even Manuel Charr iterated that Vitali did not win the show, as the fight ended with an expected result.
“I was very disappointed with Vitali's performance and I would love to get in with him and knock his out,” asserted Haye, who believes Vitali is now no more the fighter he once was.
“I would throw clusters of punches. Vitali is a warrior but his chin is not better than my punch. His performance was terrible. He should be ashamed of himself,” said the Hayemaker.
While Haye is throwing harsh words at Klitschko, the latter is quiet. Vitali has hinted towards possible retirement, even though his manager Bernd Boente had assured Haye of a match next year.
“Bernd Boente, the Klitschkos' manager, said after Vitali's fight with Chisora that we should fight each other and the winner then fights Vitali,” asserted Haye.
David Haye has been pestering the Klitschko brothers for a fight for quite some time now. Unfortunately, it seems like none of them, Wladimir and Vitali, are interested in fighting the Briton. Haye already suffered a loss at the hands of Wladimir Klitschko
and now he wants to go head to head against Vitali Klitschko.
For now, Haye believes Vitali is at the verge of retirement but he wants to face the Ukrainian before he hangs up his glove. Most analysts are hoping for the fight to happen, since it will be a huge one. However, Vitali Klitschko is not in the mood to take
on Haye, as he has his political ambitions to pursue.  In other words, Haye feels ditched by Vitali’s camp since he was promised by promised by his camp for a fight.
