David Haye believes he can knock down Wladimir Klitschko – Boxing News

WBA World Champion, David Haye, will be one-on-one against the IBF, WBO and IBO World Champion, Wladimir Klitschko, on July 2 at the 60,000 seated Imtech Arena in Hamburg. The fight between these two pugilists
is being considered as one of the most eagerly anticipated events in boxing for many years.
However, David ‘The Hayemaker’ Haye says he can knock down Klitschko, who is a dominant force in the heavyweight division since 2005.
WBA World Heavyweight champion, David Haye, said, "This fight with Wladimir is the realisation of a dream I've had since I was 10 years old. The Klitschko brothers have spoiled the reputation of heavyweight
boxing, for too long and it's time for somebody to show people what it used to be about: excitement, knockouts, personality, and risk-taking. I believe I'm the guy to bring all that back on 2 July.”
Haye, who became the first British Heavyweight boxer since Lennox Lewis in 2003 to gain international stardom after beating seven-foot tall Nikolai Valuev. He claimed that there is no bigger boxing event
this year and all boxing fans have been waiting for a fight like this for a long time.
The Brit also added that he wants tens of thousands of British fans to be there for him in the arena so that he doesn’t find anybody asking each other, “Where were you when Haye knocked out Klitschko?”
The Ukrainian’s manager, Bernd Bonte, on the other hand told the media that Klitschko doesn’t think Haye would be a tough test for him. Bonte also rejected the reports which said that the British fans
of the WBA World Heavyweight champion, Haye, is not being given an equal chance to secure the tickets in Hamburg.
He said it’s all on first come first serve basis and he is happy that there would be many British fans in the arena to make the atmosphere dramatic.
All is left to see whether David Haye can really pull off a victory or not, as Klitschko has been a champion since 2006 and has four belts with him whereas Haye has only one.
