David Haye claims Wladimir Klitschko will need a chin transplant: Boxing News
The WBA Heavyweight Champion, David Haye, claimed Wladimir Klitschko needs a chin transplant, as it could be the only thing which can save him from being destroyed in their July 2, clash.
Both pugilists met each other at a pre-fight match conference for the first time in order to promote their fight which is scheduled on July 2 at Imtech Arena, Hamburg.
The Hayemaker, Haye, however showed no respect for Klitschko, who is an IBF, IBO and WBO counterpart. He didn’t even shake his hand with him.
The 30-year-old, Haye, said “He’s never fought anyone with my attributes, it’s new territory for me and for him. He’ll do what he always does. I’ve fought these ’robots’ before – I’ve never lost, at amateur or professional level, to an Eastern European
fighter and that’s not going to change now.”
“He’s got an impressive jab, I’ve seen him sicken people with it, but I don’t believe the fight will go 12 rounds. Wladimir Klitschko’s not tough enough, mentally or physically, no way – unless he gets a chin transplant, and with eight weeks I don’t
think there’s time enough for that to heal!”
Adding fuel to fire, Haye stated that he just needs a referee who should be able to count till 10.
Klitschko, who has 49 knock-outs in his record, responded by saying that Haye would be his fiftieth knock-out victim. He promised he will teach him some respect in summer.
Dr. Steelhammer, Klitschko, also told the media that he has knocked down 49 fighters in a 15-year time span and Haye has totally disrespected them all, so he needs to be taught a lesson.
This clash between these two sport’s finest ambassadors is being considered as one of the biggest clashes of all time in the British history.
Though Klitschko has a home-crowd like advantage, as Germany is his adopted country, all is left to see if Haye can really knockout the six-feet-seven-inches in front of over 60,000 spectators.
