David Haye says he does not get any adrenaline until he is in the ring – Boxing news
The current World Boxing Association’s World Heavyweight Champion, David Haye, has revealed he does not get any adrenaline until he gets in the ring against his opponents.
The Hayemaker, David Haye, who is set to meet Wladimir Klitschko in a unification bout for the heavyweight titles on July 2, 2011 at the Hamburg Arena in Germany, said he will only get a feeling of the bout when he will be in the arena in front of a crowd
of over 50,000 people.
While speaking on his inclusion, he said, “I don't get any adrenaline until when I'm in the ring. I'll be relaxed until I walk out for the fight, and hopefully I'll get some feelings when I see the crowd. Then when I see him walk to the ring with his music,
I know it's time to go to work.”
The 30-year-old Londoner, Haye, who has won 25 of his 26 fights including 23 by the way of a knockout, also commented on his training session and physical fitness.
Haye stated he is doing a lot of hard work ahead of the fight. He said he sometimes gets a bit tired but on the same note, he claimed he will be in his best shape on the fight night.
“My gut feeling is great,” he said. “I did 15 hard rounds last night, really pushed myself to the limit and am feeling tired, but as the days get closer to the fight my energy levels will get better and I'll be amazing by Saturday night - at my best.”
Haye in the end also added that it is going to be one of the best-ever boxing matches. He added if anyone has not seen a good match in a long time, then this is the time for him.
Only a few days are left now when both of these boxing’s best will be one-on-one against each other in the ring. Let’s see who wins this mega bout, which is being considered as one of the biggest in British history.
