David Haye says he is going to take Wladimir Klitschko’s head off – Boxing news
The current World Boxing Association’s World Heavyweight Champion David Haye is looking pretty confident ahead of his mega clash on July 2, 2011 against Wladimir Klitschko.
David ‘The Hayemaker’ Haye, who will face Wladimir ‘Dr. Steelhammer’ Klitschko in a unification bout for the heavyweight titles next month at the Hamburg Arena in Germany, has claimed he will win the fight with a knockout.
The 30-year-old Londoner, Haye, says he knows Klitschko is one of the best heavyweight champions out there and therefore, he is putting in all of his efforts.
He told the media he is training in the hardest way, as he knows if he lacks somewhere, Klitschko is going to punish him straightaway.
However he stated he is doing everything the best possible way and will take off Klitschko’s head on July 2.
While speaking on his inclusion, he said, “I'm training to be faster, more athletic and punch harder than ever before. I know that if I don't do that then things could go wrong. But I'm making sure all angles are covered in the gym. Come fight night on July
2, I'm going to take his head off.”
In the end Haye admitted that the 6 ft 6.5” Ukrainian giant, Wladimir Klitschko, is a very skilled opponent. He remarked normally people of Klitschko’s size are not that fast and athletic but on the same note he said he will land a dazzling punch on his
chin somewhere in the fight.
“Wladimir has a lot of speed and a lot of athleticism for a big guy. Rarely do you get someone as big as him being as athletic. I guarantee that I will land on his chin at some stage of the fight. He won't know what happened to him,” said Haye.
The Wladimir-Haye clash is being considered as one of the biggest in the British history and hopefully it will also be the biggest betting bout since the Mayweather-Hatton fight, which produced a betting turnover of 20 million pounds.
However let’s see if Haye can really beat Klitschko in his native country.
