David Haye wants to show Vitali how to annihilate Chisora – Boxing News
Former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye will be taking on Dereck Chisora on July 14 at the Upton Park in London. Haye, who will be facing Chisora in a grudge match, believes it is time to annihilate Chisora once and for all. Haye believes Vitali Klitschko
should have done the same in order to keep Chisora under control.
Dereck Chisora and Vitali Klitschko went head to head earlier this year in February. Klitschko had beaten Chisora on points but at the pre-fight conference, Chisora had slapped Vitali. Chisora even went onto to spit water in the face of Wladimir Klitschko
after the fight in the ring. He then went onto start a public brawl with David Haye at the post bout conference. Chisora’s misbehaviour got his license revoked by the BBBC.
Haye believes that now is the time to teach Chisora a lesson, and to show the Klitschko brothers how to handle a fighter like Chisora. Haye claims, “It's the manner in which I dispatch him that I care about. I don't want to go out there and be sluggish.
I don't want him to win any rounds, I'm going to annihilate him. I want to show the difference between what Vitali can do to him and what I can do to him.”
He added, “There's such a spotlight on him that he'd be absolutely stupid to try anything now. Plus he knows he's getting a payday. He's tried silly nonsense before and he's been fined hundreds of thousands - money he hasn't got. He can't afford to be given
fines of that size. He knows he's getting a decent payday, so why should he jeopardise that.”
It should be noted here that Haye and Chisora have promised fans and officials that they will behave this time at the promotional events for the fight. According to Chisora, he will behave outside the ring but inside he will not. On the other hand, Haye
believes that once Chisora is in the ring he will not be able to misbehave, as there will be rules and regulations which he will have to follow.
