David Hearn ready for another start at the RBC Canadian Open
Canadian David Hearn is set to make his 11th start at the RBC Canadian Open, scheduled to begin from Thursday, July 26, 2012.
Hearn is coming off from a good finish at the True South Classic held last week, where he finished tied for the 21st position with a 12-under par tournament score.
Moreover, he has experience in playing the tournament twice at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club, as he participated in the 2003 and 2006 editions that were held at the same venue. Therefore, he is feeling quite relaxed while getting prepared for the local
event to start in Madison.
According to him, he did not play well during last week’s competition in Memphis and plans to take a U-turn this week by concentrating on his game on the greens.
He believes that the greens are expected to behave different this week compared to what he had last week. He stated that they looked tricky and needed some extra practice for maximum results.
“I didn't have my best stuff last week and was able to kind of get a lot out of it. You know, this is a golf course here at Hamilton that you're going to have to drive it very well to have a good week,” he said.
“Obviously the greens are tricky, so getting it on the greens are going to be a priority for me in preparation. So I feel like I have all those parts of my game in good shape, so I'm really looking forward to it”.
Recently, his wife gave birth to his daughter and therefore, he took a few weeks off prior to returning to the field.
While talking to the PGA Tour official website, he said that he was in a great mood while he was playing the True South Classic because of his newly born daughter.
He said that nothing can be compared to the happiness that once receives with the birth of a child. Therefore, he called it a new chapter in his life and hoped to enjoy every moment of it.
“I think anyone who's had a child before knows it's a pretty special moment, and we're very excited and proud,” he said.
