http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DJ-Hussey-c1380 applauds Pat Cummins’ sportsmanship – Cricket News Update
The veteran Australian batsman, David Hussey, has showered praise on his young fellow pacer, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 on October 23, hoping that the talented debutant
will turn better in Friday’s series decider.
Hussey revealed that he was expecting Cummins to be upset after his poor show for the losing cause, but he seemed quite confident despite the setback. Hussey has lauded this approach of the bowler and predicted that he will prove to be a precious asset for
the Kangaroos in the years to come.
Talking to the media today, Hussey said, “He was staying positive and even in our team meetings he was up front about what he wanted to do and work on, and what he needed to do to go better in the next game.”
He further told, “It would have been very easy for him to go away and be quiet and maybe sulk for a while…but he was upbeat. I thought that showed great character.”
Another talented Australian pacer, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DE-Bollinger-c1348, has also heaped admiration on Cummins and expressed happy wishes for the youngster, who is in the initial phase of his International career.
“He's fine, he's only 18. He's going to get plenty more games like that but he's big enough and strong enough to get back and have another go," stated the fast bowler.
Now, Cummins is looking forward to the 3rd and final ODI, which is a matter of life and death for his team, and they are h**l-bent to win it in order to win the series 2-1.
The debutant impressed all by grabbing a 3-wicket haul in his maiden ODI. He also bagged 3 and 2 scalps respectively in the 1st and 2nd T20I against the Proteas at the start of the tour fixtures. The right-hander is honoured to have
appeared on the global stage with just 3 First-Class and 4 List A games to his name.
Some analysts believe that Cummins’ successful maiden series will help him in cementing his place in his national team.
