After defeating http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 by 31 runs in the first T20 International of the two match series in Sydney, Australian all-rounder David Hussey is hoping that the Aussies can win the next match and clinch the series 2-0. They second match is to be played at the Melbourne
Cricket Ground on Friday, February 3, 2012.
"It's pretty important to make it 2-0…We want to keep the momentum going forward and play a perfect game in front of 90,000 (fans) at the MCG," said Hussey while speaking to media reporters after his side defeated India.
"There's no better feeling than to do it at MCG, the home of Australian cricket…There's no better atmosphere throughout the world," he added further.
Hussey, the 34-year-old all-rounder from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Western-Australia-c865 was instrumental in ensuring that Australia won by 31 runs. He helped the Aussies reach a healthy total by scoring 42 runs off just 30 deliveries. His knock of 42 runs included 3 sixes and a boundary.
He even contributed with the ball, and returned with figures of 2 for 4 with the ball.
Hussey - who was last night described by his T20 skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/George-Bailey-c1480 as "one of the cleanest striker of a cricket ball in the game” – said that his side played really good cricket in the opening T20 and hoped to take the winning momentum to Melbourne.
Hussey, who is the younger brother of the Australian middle order batsman Mike Hussey, singled out http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 a good start that set the platform for latter batsmen. Wade played
a pugnacious knock of 72 runs off just 43 balls, which included five boundaries and 3 sixes.
"One of his big attributes is he competes. When the game is on line, you want him in trenches. Last night he showed his wares. He is couple of innings away from cementing a Test spot, perhaps," Hussey said.
"He's been doing it for Victoria in the last 3-4 years. He's now showing his class and hopefully he could do it at the MCG as well."
