David Ingraham conquers Men’s 100m butterfly crown in Atlanta: YMCA Long Course Nationals
Day three of the YMCA Long Course Nationals saw the impressive splash of David Ingraham in Atlanta, Georgia, on Wednesday, July 27.
The session of the championship conducted two races, where David Ingraham of Middle Tyger took home the Men’s 100m butterfly title, while Jared Kauffman snared the gold medal in the Men’s 200m breast-stroke meet.
Initially, Ingraham produced a scintillating splash in the 100m butterfly final and earned the golden crown with a sterling time of 56.03 seconds. Leo Lim of Wyckoff secured the silver medal with a winning time of 56.40 seconds, while Andrew Yunker of Greater
Flint grabbed the bronze medal with an impressive time of 56.45 seconds.
Tyler Rauth of Upper Mainline finished fourth in a time of 57.05 seconds, whereas, Joseph Shepley of Cheshire settled fifth in a time of 57.10 seconds. Austin Wolff of New Canaan earned sixth place honours with a time of 57.22 seconds. Eric Forrester of
Mon Valley wound up seventh in 57.31 seconds and Lucas Bureau of Laurel Highlands was placed eighth in a time of 57.50 seconds.
Afterwards, Jared Kauffman gave his best try in the Men’s 200m breast-stroke final. He splashed hard in the pool and completed his distance in 2 minutes and 22.43 seconds. John Santoro of New Canaan captured the silver medal in 2 minutes and 24.78 seconds,
while Gregory Han of Cheshire snatched the bronze medal with a time of 2 minutes and 24.83 seconds.
In the corresponding race, Nate Carr of Huntington finished fourth in a time of 2 minutes and 25.05 seconds, while Louis Seefeld of Upper Mainline earned fifth place in a time of 2 minutes and 25.17 seconds. Jonathan Rutter of Powel Crosley wound up sixth
in 2 minutes and 25.60 seconds. Jacob Limaldi of Ocean County grabbed seventh spot in the respective meet with a time of 2 minutes and 26.40 seconds.
Timothy Lattimer of Wilton finished eighth in a time of 2 minutes and 26.92 seconds, while Colton Spark of Middle Tyger was placed ninth in 2 minutes and 27.50 seconds. Victor Luo of Somerset Valley wound up tenth in a time of 2 minutes and 28.17 seconds.
