http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Luiz-c10542 has voiced his support for Andre Villas Boas at Chelsea and called on Frank Lampard to erase differences between himself and the Portuguese manager and listen to him when he gives out orders to the team.
Luiz has been a figure under criticism of late due to his lack of defensive awareness at Chelsea. The Brazilian defender has failed to live up to the fans’ expectations at Chelsea and with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/John-Terry-c18895 out of action for a lengthy
period of time for the London club, Chelsea have been forced to use Luiz in central defence.
Nonetheless, Luiz’s partnership in central defence with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Frank-Lampard-c14097 and other Chelsea players have had problems
with AVB’s methods at Chelsea and their problems have now started to effect team performances as well.
Luiz said, "No one has to be someone's father or son in a football club. There are no privileged people there. He [Lampard] simply has to listen to the coach when he gives orders and take them. No player can forget that they
are just an employee of the club."
He added, "A lot of the controversies are created by the British media. Last season, there were teams who were in a poor position in the table, and no one talked about it. It is a lot easier to talk about Andre, because Chelsea
are a big team who always fight for the first place. And when they are third of fourth, it gets easy to slam the coach.”
Chelsea will hope that they can put aside their internal differences and focus on their upcoming Premier League tie. The Blues do not have many tough matches ahead of them in the Premier League fixture list but they do have to
travel to the Etihad stadium before the end of the season.
