David Miller, the young South African batsman, is disappointed with his team’s performance in the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Champions Trophy 2013 but the left-hander is satisfied with his personal showing and hopes to continue
performing well for the Proteas.

impressive knocks in the tournament, including a half-century in the semi-final, where the rest of the batting line-up failed to make an impression.

“The Champions Trophy was obviously a massive disappointment for us as a team, but I guess it was nice to score some important runs for the team,” said Miller. “It has been a decent year so far, and I was quite chuffed to carry
the form I had in the IPL into a big tournament for the national team.”
The 24-year-old cricketer came through the ranks of junior cricket in South Africa and made his international debut in 2010. Since then, he has been in and out of the Proteas’ limited-overs squad but now he seems to be cementing
his place in the national team.
Miller further added that he talked to Gary Kirsten before the Champions Trophy and the former left-handed opener really helped him enhance his self-belief.
"I had a few good chats with (former coach) http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Gary-Kirsten-c58527 ahead of the Champions Trophy, and I think it helped my game to have a more defined role in the team,” he added.
The middle-order batsman is considered to be among the most talented cricketers in the country, having the potential to deliver the goods at the highest stage of the game. According to many former cricketers,
the left-hander can become a genuine match-winner for the Proteas if he can further improve his shot-selection and temperament.
