Everton manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Moyes has slammed officiating in the Premier League, and believes his side have been on the wrong end of many decisions this season.
The Scot has urged the officials, linesmen and referees to improve their calls and decisions, and insists that bad decisions have the power to make or break a team’s season.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019 boss believes his side have been robbed of points this season due to decisions that have gone against them, but at the same time acknowledged the tough task Premier League officials face and sympathized with them.
The Scottish manager has seen his side rise to 4th spot in the league after a last-gasp win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. Everton came back from behind by scoring two quick goals in the dying minutes of the game, clinching the victory in dramatic
fashion and sealing all 3 points.
However, it were the games against Reading, Wigan and Newcastle United where Everton had see decisions go against them, which ultimately cost them points and perhaps a higher position on the league table.
Moyes urged linesmen and referee assistants to offer more support to the senior official refereeing the game, and said:
“Being a referee nowadays comes with a much higher profile and it is also a much more challenging http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684. The cameras and the technology now allow us to analyse every decision and for anyone who has never refereed a game I can tell you that it is very difficult
as I do it most days at training.”
“Bad decisions have cost us points in recent games. I will always be the first person to look at the players and tell them not to rely on decisions, but as you can see on a regular basis at the moment decisions are affecting the outcome of the games.”
The Toffees boss was especially critical of the games against Wigan Athletic and Newcastle United, where he felt his side were denied the points by poor officiating. A http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marouane-Fellaini-c24295 strike had been ruled offside in the 2-2 draw against Newcastle while
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Victor-Anichebe-c36018 was denied a goal which had clearly crossed the line.
