However, Moyes refused to be drawn into the discussion of his possible future plans once he serves out his contract with the Toffees. He insisted that for him, building up a strong squad at Goodison Park ahead of the next season carried a higher preference.
He also mentioned that he was currently happy at Everton.
He told the reporters in an interview, “I don't think the manager’s contract is that important, it is more important we get the players sorted. It is not desperate. I have a contract here and I am more than happy. It certainly doesn't affect my work.”

Having overseen a successful transfer market in January, Moyes let out his ambition of introducing more reinforcements during the summer, and insisted that his hard work was an indication of his unwavering commitment towards Everton.
He added, “I told everyone [at the end of the last season] I was getting on with my job and that is what would be happening and I'm looking forward to adding more to the squad.”
