David Moyes delighted to have younger blood at Everton: EPL News
Former Preston North End boss, David Moyes, has revealed that Everton is the club where youngsters get a chance to exhibit their skills. Manager seemed delighted at the fact that many young footballers prefer playing for the Merseyside club and hoped that
the trend would continue in the future.
Moyes believed that many young stars at the club have a bright future ahead and expressed his delight after seeing his club back in the top half of the table. The 47-year-old admitted that the club made a bad start to the season, but added, it was all due
to the fact that the youngsters needed some time to settle down at the club.
He further told, "Part of my job is to get young players in the team at Everton and that is partly due to the numbers. If anyone is watching tonight and you're a good young player, Everton is the place to be as we give youngsters opportunities."
Moyes referred to some youngsters that the club has produced and hoped that these youngsters could be Everton’s shining stars in the coming years. Rooney served the Merseyside club for two years and netted in 15 goals from 67 appearances.
Manager praised the efforts of all youngsters at the club and hoped to see them performing with the passage of time. He further added, "What you need in life, whether it's working behind a camera like you are or me being a football player or manager like
me, you need somebody to give you a chance to see if you can do it, he said. If you get a chance then it's up to you to take it. I tend to find when you give young players a chance they tend to take it."
Everton are currently seventh in the League table with 47 points and with five games remaining in the season, Toffees would ideally like to qualify for the UEFA Europa League next season.
