After Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp was sacked following the side’s failure to qualify for the UEFA Champions League despite finishing at fourth spot in the Premier League, various manager’s have been linked with replacing him at White Hart Lane.
From Rafael Benitez, Pep Guardiola to Andre Villas-Boas and David Moyes, the media has linked almost every manager will the available post. As for Moyes, the Scotsman confirmed he had not been approached by the London club as yet.
He revealed that while he currently had no desire to leave Everton any time soon, he felt anything was possible in this game. Moyes successfully hinted there was a possibility of his departure to Tottenham Hotspur, but failed to confirm anything.
Moyes said while speaking to reporters:
“All I can say is that I have had no contact and if I had had any I would have told my chairman (Bill Kenwright). I hope to meet all my ambitions at Everton but you never know in this game.
I came back from holiday and found out about Harry and I feel sad for him because I feel he has done a good http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684.”
Moyes joined Everton in 2002 and did well to help the side avoid relegation in his first season with them. He has been in charge at Goodison Park since then and even though has not won a major tournament; he remains a fan favourite at the club.
According to Moyes, he was looking forward to leading Everton to success in the upcoming seasons. The Scottish manager said he had identified two to three players he wanted to bring in to the club who would help them in their ambitions.
He admitted:
“I'm ambitious and I want to try to win things and ideally I want to do that with Everton. We brought in two or three players in January and you could see the difference it made to the club, to the players, to myself, so we want to try and do that again.”
