David Neitz retires at age 33 - What do you think of his achievements?

To me he wasn't overly blessed with talent but he was selected as an All Australian on two occassions; played for 15 years; holder of the most games for the Demons (306); most goals (631); Fairest & best at the club 2002; Coleman medalist 2002; longest ever serving captain at the club

I liked him as a player & wish him luck. He is the only player ever to hold the record of most games, most goals & most matches as captain at any club.

    It will interesting to see what he does now - as he is not a person who is always full in your face.

  3. It's a very sad note that he has to retire on. I am pleased he had a successful career. I do wonder how he would have rated at a different club though.

Im not a Demons supporter but i cried my eyes out when i found out he was retiring. thats just another blow for the Dees. i feel so sorry for them, the season isnt going too well for them and now that comes up. make sure all you dees supporters out there support your club all the way and also support each other, your guna need all the support you can get in the next couple weeks. oh yea, good luck to the Dees coz they play the Hawks again this week.
