http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Pizarro-c10581 has snubbed interest from Chinese outfit, Shanghai Shenhua, in order to realize his dream of winning the Scudetto with AS Roma.
The Chilean spent his last season on loan at English Premier League Champions, Manchester City, and has formerly announced that he plans on staying with the Giallorossi for the next season.
Pizarro stated that he has always dreamt of winning the Scudetto with AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603, and revealed that he plans on giving his all in the next season to realize that dream.
The former Inter Milan midfielder revealed that his contract with the Maggica is set to expire at the end of the next season, and stated that winning the Serie A crown in his last season with the club will go into the making of
a perfect farewell for him.
While talking to the press, the 32-year-old said:
“I’m in the last year on my contract and I want to say goodbye to Roma by winning the Scudetto.”
One of the major reasons behind the flight of Pizarro to Manchester City was the breakdown of his relationship with Luis Enrique. However, the Chilean international was quite excited at the prospect of working with their new manager
Zdenek Zeman.
The Giallorossi playmaker stated that he has heard a lot about the hard methods of the former Pescara manager, but maintained that he does not mind working hard for a better result.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan player admitted that Zeman has a history of struggling with clubs at the top level, but pointed out that the tactician has coached AS Roma in the past, and his familiarity with the environment at Rome will
count as a big advantage for the Maggica.
“Marco Cassetti has told me that he’s a tough Coach and he makes you work hard, but you see the results of that on a Sunday. I know about his career, he has had his problems coaching at a certain level, but he knows the environment
here – that means a lot.”
Pizarro has also been linked with a move to his former club Inter Milan.
