The Manchester City assistant manager has come out and made it clear that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 did not address the media due to his team’s draw with Stoke City but in fact due to other reasons as the pressure piles on his team to
make it work in the title race...
The English Premier League title race took another turn in favour of Manchester United on the weekend when Manchester City failed to win their encounter against Stoke City and ended up with a share of the spoils with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tony-c35440 Pulis’
men. Manchester City were shell shocked by a wonderful http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Peter-Crouch-c29741 goal which was then equalized later on in the match by Yaya Toure. Nonetheless, the tie ended 1-1 with City regaining the lead of the league table albeit perhaps only temporarily.
United have a chance to leapfrog Manchester City once again by winning their Monday night tie against Fulham at Old Trafford and in doing so maintain a three point gap between themselves and their rivals. United were at one point
four points behind Manchester City in the title race but now they are the favourites to win the Premier League trophy courtesy of City’s lack of form in the previous three weeks.
With a tough home tie against Sunderland coming up followed up by a visit to the Emirates stadium to take on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429; things will only get tough for Manchester City from here on in. Mancini did not come out after his team’s draw
against Stoke but http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Platt did speak to the media and said that the Italian manager was fine.
He said, “It's not a problem to him. It's not about him and it's not about Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752. It's about the two teams alone and apart. He's done it before and he wants to win. As regards the pressure on him, it's not about whether he handles
the pressure so much as whether the players go out and get the results. He's fine. He's beyond fine - seriously!"
